|
Julia grew up in rural Michigan. She moved with her family to Florida where she attended High School and earned an AA in Art. She has lived in Laurel Maryland, Travis AFB and Vacaville, California where she continued art education at UC Davis, and Solano College. She and her family moved back to the Mid-west,where she continued her education at Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA earning her BA in Art with painting as an emphasis. While at Coe, she was awarded the Susan Bauman Prize in painting two consecutive years. She teaches art classes at Eastern Iowa Arts Academy,a non-profit Art Academy in Cedar Rapids, as well as painting full time. |
